In Lottery Ticket, Ice Cube goes back to the hood but he does it with an important purpose.
Playing a former boxer named Mr. Washington, he looks out for Bow Wow's Kevin Carson during one of the most intense and trying times of Kevin's life—the three days before he redeems a winning lottery ticket. Kevin encounters all kinds of hilarious temptations and hangers-on, but Mr. Washington's the one that sets him straight about how to continue to act right in the face of his newfound wealth and friends.
"It was totally different," Cube says about Mr. Washington.
